Corporate training software for onboarding and compliance training

Plan training sessions, track attendance, test knowledge and issue verifiable certificates in one place, for your own employees or for the client teams you train.

Corporate training: from onboarding to compliance

Onboarding, safety briefings, data protection training and product courses raise the same questions every time: who was trained, when, by whom, and did they pass? Zolinex keeps the answers in one place. Employees become students, trainers become teachers, and every training is a course.

  • Plan sessions. Set weekly recurring sessions per course with day, time and an optional room label. For online sessions, add a meeting link for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or another tool.
  • Track attendance. Trainers mark each participant present, absent, late or excused per session. Employees see their own attendance.
  • Assign and score exams. Online tests with a time limit, an availability window, a passing mark and a set number of attempts. Multiple-choice and true/false questions are scored automatically; open answers are graded by the trainer.
  • Issue verifiable certificates. Each certificate is a PDF with a QR code that leads to a public verification page. It can show the issue date, a "valid until" date, training hours and a grade, and you can revoke it if needed.
  • Keep documents. Training materials and video lessons sit in the course. Personal documents, such as contracts or external certificates, go on the employee's record, where only administrators and that employee can open them.

The result is proof of training you can show: attendance lists, exam results and dated certificates per employee. Zolinex records what happened; it does not decide whether that satisfies a specific law, standard or audit. This is not legal advice, so check the requirements with your compliance officer or legal advisor.

One honest limit: employees see their own video-lesson progress, but administrators don't. Use attendance and exam results as your completion record. For a step-by-step approach, read our guide to corporate training management.

Set up a training program in five steps

  1. Register your company at zolinex.com/register. You become its first administrator.
  2. Add employees one by one or import them from an Excel or CSV file. You create the accounts; employees can't sign themselves up. Each one can receive a welcome email with a link to set a password.
  3. Add trainers as teachers and create one course per training, for example "IT security onboarding" or "Annual fire safety briefing".
  4. Plan and prepare. Schedule sessions, upload materials and video lessons, and add a meeting link for online sessions.
  5. Test and certify. Create the exam with a passing mark, then issue certificates to the employees who completed the training.

You can start on the Free plan, with up to 25 students, 2 teachers, 15 courses and 1 administrator, and run a pilot with one team. When you roll out further, move to a larger plan. Plans and prices as of October 2026 are on the pricing page.

Enterprise: the Business plan for larger organizations

For larger organizations and training providers, the Business plan costs $149 per month as of October 2026, and yearly billing costs less (see pricing). It includes:

  • Up to 5,000 students, meaning employees or participants.
  • Unlimited teachers, courses and administrator accounts.
  • 200 GB of storage and up to 500 video lessons per course.
  • Invoices with manual payment tracking, useful if you bill client companies for training (also part of the Pro plan).

Administrators and access

You can add as many administrators as your plan allows: 1 on Free, 2 on Starter, 5 on Pro and an unlimited number on Business, as of October 2026. All administrators have the same full rights in the admin portal, including people, courses, schedules, exams, certificates and invoices. There are no custom roles or per-administrator permissions, so give admin access only to people who need it. Administrators can deactivate or remove other administrator accounts.

Teachers and students sign in to their own portals with limited access. Teachers work with their assigned courses and students; students see their own courses and results.

Languages

The interface is available in 9 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic (right-to-left), Russian, Chinese and Japanese. Each user picks their own, so an international team can work in one account.

Data protection basics

  • Each organization's data is kept separate from other organizations' data.
  • Access is role-based: administrators, teachers and students each have their own portal.
  • Personal documents are stored privately and opened through short-lived download links.
  • Deleted users go to a trash, where you can restore them or anonymize their personal data.

Zolinex is based in Wiesbaden, Germany, and is subject to the GDPR. As the employer, you remain responsible for how you use your employees' data. This is not legal advice; check the details with your data protection officer. More in our article on data protection in education.

Need more than this, for example single sign-on or a connection to your HR system? Zolinex doesn't offer those, as the integrations page explains. Contact us and we'll tell you honestly what is possible.

Partnerships: let's talk

We like talking to people who help companies and schools organize their training. That may be you if you are:

  • a training consultant or L&D adviser whose clients need a place to run and document their training;
  • a training company that delivers courses for several client companies;
  • a creator of course content, for example compliance or language courses;
  • an IT service provider or reseller that works with schools or training teams.

There is no standard partner program, so every collaboration starts with a conversation. Tell us who you work with and what you have in mind, and we'll answer honestly whether and how we can work together.

Write to us through the contact page or at [email protected].

Frequently asked questions

Is Zolinex suitable as corporate training software?

Yes, for companies that run their own training, such as onboarding, safety or compliance sessions, and for training providers who train client staff. You plan sessions, take attendance, run online exams with a passing mark and issue certificates with QR verification. Zolinex is a course management system, not an HR suite: it has no payroll, performance reviews or HR-system integration.

How do employees get access to Zolinex?

An administrator creates their accounts, one by one or by importing an Excel or CSV file. Employees can't register themselves. Each new user can receive a welcome email with a link to set a password, then signs in with their login name and password in any modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone. No app installation is needed.

Can Zolinex prove that an employee completed a mandatory training?

Zolinex gives you the records: attendance per session, exam results against a passing mark, and dated certificates that anyone can check through the QR code. Whether these records meet a specific legal or industry requirement depends on that requirement, so check with your compliance or legal advisor. Note that administrators can't see per-employee video progress.

How many administrators can we have, and what can they do?

As of October 2026, the Free plan includes 1 administrator, Starter 2, Pro 5 and Business an unlimited number. All administrators have the same full rights in the admin portal; there are no custom roles or per-administrator permissions. Teachers and students sign in to separate portals and only see their own courses, students or results.

Does Zolinex support single sign-on, an API or HR-system integration?

No. Zolinex does not offer single sign-on (SSO), a public API, webhooks, SCORM or integrations with HR or payroll systems. Users sign in with a login name and a password. Online sessions work through links to Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or other tools. If one of these is essential for you, contact us and we'll tell you honestly what is possible.

Do you have a partner or reseller program?

There is no standard partner program with commissions or a partner portal. We are still glad to talk to training consultants, training companies, content creators and resellers. Write to [email protected] or use the contact page, describe who you work with and what you have in mind, and we'll answer honestly whether a collaboration makes sense.
