For students

Your student portal for courses, lessons and certificates

If your school or course provider uses Zolinex, everything about your courses is in one place: schedule, materials, homework, exams, attendance and certificates. You sign in with the account your school created for you.

What the student portal shows you

Zolinex is the system your school uses to run its courses. Your school creates your student account, enrolls you in your courses and either gives you your sign-in details or sends you an email with a link to set your password. You can't register as a student yourself; your account is always created through your school.

After you sign in at zolinex.com/login, your dashboard sums up where you stand:

  • your courses and how far along you are in each of them;
  • today's lessons, with a Join meeting link when a lesson has an online meeting link;
  • upcoming and pending assignments;
  • your attendance rate, your average score and how many video lessons you have watched;
  • your certificates and, if your school bills through Zolinex, any outstanding balance.

The portal works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with no app to install. You choose your own interface language from 9. You also get a personal calendar that shows the lessons of your courses, personal notes, internal email and in-app notifications, for example when someone writes in your course chat.

My Courses: everything for each course

My Courses lists every course you are enrolled in. You can filter by ongoing, upcoming and completed courses, search by name, and switch between a card and a table view. Each course shows its dates, the current week, your next lesson and the progress of the course, as well as how many lessons have been held and how many teachers it has.

Open a course to find everything that belongs to it:

  • Overview and schedule: course details and the weekly lesson times, including the room if your school has added one.
  • Videos and documents: video lessons to watch and files from your teachers to open and download.
  • Assignments and exams: what is due, what you have submitted and your results.
  • Attendance: your status for each lesson (present, absent, late or excused) and any note your teacher left for you.
  • Meeting rooms: links to the course's Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or other online room. The lesson itself takes place in that tool.
  • Chat: the course channel and direct messages with other course members.
  • Surveys and curriculum: course surveys your school asks you to answer, and the course plan by week and topic. Anonymous surveys are marked, and your name is not shown with your answers there.

You only see courses you are enrolled in. If a course is missing from the list, your school can add you to it, so contact your school's administrator.

Learning online: videos, homework and exams

Video lessons

Watch your course's video lessons in the browser. A lesson counts as watched when an uploaded video plays to the end, or when you mark it yourself, so you always see your own progress. You can keep up to five personal notes per video and download documents attached to it.

Assignments

Each assignment shows the instructions, the due date and the maximum score. You hand in online, as text, files or both. If your teacher allows late submissions, you can still submit after the due date, and the submission is marked as late. Once it is graded, you see your score and your teacher's written feedback.

Exams and quizzes

Online exams can have a time limit, an availability window and a set number of attempts. In a timed exam you see a countdown, and your answers are submitted automatically when the time is up. Questions can include images, audio or video, for example for listening tasks. Multiple choice and true/false answers are scored automatically, while written answers are graded by your teacher. Your school decides whether you see your results.

Certificates you can download and verify

When you complete a course, your school can issue a certificate for it. The certificate appears under My certificates as soon as your school shares it with you. Each one shows the course, the issue date and a unique certificate code.

  • Download PDF: save or print your certificate. The PDF carries a QR code and the certificate code.
  • Share the verification link: copy a link to the public verification page, or send it from your phone's share menu.

Anyone who opens the link, such as an employer or another school, can check the certificate without an account. The page confirms whether it is valid and shows your name, the course, the certificate title and the issue date, plus the expiry date if your school has set one. If your school revokes a certificate, the page no longer confirms it as valid.

Only your school can issue or correct certificates, so ask your school about anything missing or wrong. You can read more about digital certificates with QR codes on our blog.

Your account, password and where to get help

Your account belongs to your school, so your school manages it.

  • Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. If the email address belongs to an active account, you receive a link to set a new password.
  • Change your password at any time in your profile. There you can also update your phone number, country and address. Your name and email address can only be changed by your school.
  • Missing a course or seeing wrong details? Write to your school's administrator, for example through internal email in the portal. If you can't sign in at all, contact your school directly. Zolinex provides the software, but your school manages accounts, enrollments, grades and certificates and corrects them when needed.

If your school sends invoices through Zolinex, a feature of its Pro or Business plan, you see them with their status under My invoices. Questions about fees and payments also go to your school.

Frequently asked questions

What is a student portal?

A student portal is the personal area where a student sees everything about their courses. In Zolinex it shows your schedule, video lessons, documents, homework, online exams, attendance, certificates and course messages. Your school or course provider runs Zolinex and creates your account, and you sign in at zolinex.com/login.

How do I sign up for the Zolinex student portal?

Students can't sign up on their own. Your school or course provider creates your account and enrolls you in your courses. You then receive your sign-in details or an email with a link to set your password. If you haven't received anything or the link has expired, contact your school's administrator.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Click Forgot password on the sign-in page at zolinex.com/login and enter your email address. If it belongs to an active account, you receive a link to set a new password. If no email arrives or your account is inactive, contact your school's administrator, who can reset your password or send you a new link.

Why can't I see my course or my certificate?

Courses appear under My Courses once your school has enrolled you. Certificates appear under My certificates once your school has issued them and shared them with you. Only your school can enroll you, issue certificates or correct your details, so if something is missing or wrong, contact your school or course administrator.

How can an employer check my Zolinex certificate?

Open My certificates and copy the certificate's verification link, or share it from your phone. The link opens a public verification page that needs no account. It shows whether the certificate is valid, together with your name, the course, the certificate title and the issue date. A certificate your school has revoked is not shown as valid.

Is there a Zolinex app for students?

There is no app to install. The student portal runs in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, so you can watch video lessons, submit homework and check your schedule wherever you are. You choose your own interface language from the 9 available. Sign in at zolinex.com/login with the details from your school.
